Awesome app

Tweetdeck for Android is a multi-platform social network manager.

You may integrate your personal accounts in Twitter, Facebook, Buzz or Foursquare (LinkedIn and Myspace also available in the Tweetdeck desktop version) and perform almost all operations that you are able to in the web platform.

Tweetdeck is organized in columns you may set to your liking. For example, you may set a column which shows new feeds of all your accounts mixed, another column just for your mentions in Twitter or another your personal notifications in Facebook. You may set as many columns as you want. Moreover, you may update your status, upload images, share links or videos, click on “like”, post comments, retweet, publish your own location and almost all that you can do in the web version.

If you already have a Tweetdeck account and you have set your columns in the desktop version it will automatically sync to your Android. If you are a new user, you may set them to your liking from your phone by adding manually your social networking accounts. There are not too many settings to customize its performance though. We just can change the text size, add/set columns and modify notifications preferences. Tweetdeck could be improved in some respects: it doesn’t shorten the links we share in Facebook, it shows all the programed messages in the same column or the column size which is not configurable.

There is a point that for ones is a pro and for another is a con: deck.ly, the feature that allows us to post tweets 140+ characters. We think it kills the essence of Twitter and it should be considered as a con. The screen widgets are just what we expect from them: a composing bar (which allows us to upload a picture and to share the same message in the accounts we want to), columns, personal notifications and messages access.

Tweetdeck has been developed by Tweedeck Inc. a promising startup who has launched just this application for desktop and different mobile platforms but which are getting great success thanks to it.

We truly recommend Tweetdeck since it is one of the best multi-platform social network manager. It is especially oriented to Twitter though. If you are an active social network user this is a must have in your Android that you cannot miss.

I use this app all the time. I hardly ever open the actual Facebook or Twitter apps. Still love to see Google+ support, but I'm pretty sure Google hasn't opened up their API for posting yet.
