A printed Japanese Kanji or a compound is scanned with the camera, and able to consult the dictionary(Web-Site) after OCR(Web-API) are executed.
But not perfect.

needs work. totally luck if you can get the characters to exactly line up on the tiny target. requires tripod. clunky interface. unusable atm

Great idea, but the viewfinder is way to small and needs to be used up close, but then the phone creates a shadow and the kanji is unreadble on g1.

Seems to work decently on my Nexus One. But the viewfinder is not centered so i kind of have to guess where to aim.

Great idea just needs to be able to id konji more accuratly. And the veiwfinder seems a little clunky

Great idea, but it does not work on my DROID. When I scan a kanji the picture comes out corrupted. Needs some more work.

Wish it worked more often. I agree the back button may not be the best for focus. If it clould have another touch button it would be easier to use.
